Hi I’m Kirsty, and I’m a Girl, Dyslexic and Ginger.
I’ve just graduated with a 2.1 in Consumer Behaviour and Marketing from University of Reading. I live at home with my Parents, Brother and two Tibetan Terriers Charlie and Alfie in Hampshire. I have a lot of hobbies and interests such as; photography, baking, sewing and theatre.
I LOVE sport, I currently play rugby and netball on a regular basis and to enjoy the challenge of trying a new extreme sport whenever possible! The most recent I’ve attempted were rock climbing, SEA Kayaking and Gorge Walking (of course smashed them all and got sunburnt in the process).
I’ve been an active member of Girlguiding since my first night at brownies in 2003, I love camping, campfires, campfire songs and most importantly Smores! I currently run a Ranger Unit in my local area and am involved in the publicity for Basingstoke Gang Show. (Rangers is a senior section for girls aged 14-25 years).
I’ve overcome some hurdles in my time and I thought I’d start a blog to try and share how I’ve overcome these. I also think embracing opportunities is important, I’ll use this blog to address this and also to share my experiences embracing some of these opportunities. past and present.
In this blog I will prove that #ThisGingerCan and anyone can do what they put their mind to, even if you’re a ginger and need to wear Factor 50 Sun-cream doing it…
